If you decide to go down this career path, there will be those who ask you, what is a chocolatier?  An expert in making candies from chocolate is a good response to these questions.   Before you can become a chocolatier, you must get the proper training. When finding a place to train, there are many options available.  You can do a search on the internet to find any culinary schools in your area.  Once you have found the options that are available to you, you can begin to narrow down your choices.  You should look at the various programs offered at each culinary institute, to see which ones best meet your needs.  For example, some culinary schools will offer specialty chocolate classes, which will help you on your way to becoming a chocolatier.  Another thing to consider is tuition prices at the different schools.  You should find out what type of financial aide each school offers.  You can also use the internet to find out what other people, such as former students, think about the institutes that you are considering.  By checking out reviews online, you can be aware of any potential problems before making your final decision.

Once you do some research, you should feel confident to enroll at the culinary school you choose.  During your time in school, you will learn about many techniques that are used on chocolate.  You will learn about the physical and the chemical properties of chocolate.  You can then use your knowledge to use chocolate in a broader variety of applications.  At the end of your training, you will be a chocolatier, and you will have learned a trade that you will continue to master for years to come.  As with many other skilled trades, the more experience you gain, the better you will become at your trade.  As you begin to work in this profession, you can build a name for yourself by working hard and producing a great product.

Even after you are in this career for a while, you will still occasionally have people ask, what is a chocolatier?  You can respond to this question in a number of ways.  You could simply tell the person that it is someone who makes candy from chocolate.  Another possible answer to this question is that a chocolatier is an artist who works with chocolate to create masterpieces that are both beautiful and delicious.
