Residents of Hawaii can face a particularly unusual challenge if they have dreams of entering the Culinary Arts and specializing in pastry creation. For students who prefer to obtain an Associate in Science in the Pastry Arts, the Culinary Institute of the Pacific at Kapi’olani Community College and Honolulu Community College may be a better fit. While these programs offer generalized training in the Culinary Arts, these institutions allow students to specialize their degree with additional pastry chef courses.
